GRANDFATHER IS GOING TO DIE
– This is a book about life and freedom
Why the title: Grandfather Is Going To Die? This question is very significant and requires some explanation. It must be broken into two parts: the concept of grandfather and that of his ultimate demise — he is going to die.
The image of grandfather is one that is sacrosanct in virtually every culture. He is the fountainhead of all awareness and all suffering. He is above criticism and beyond reproach, because his life experience has opened that magical door to wisdom: he has become sage. All the knowledge in the world devoid of the understanding of life’s meaning is just that – knowledge which is unanalyzed and untested.
Grandfather has crossed that threshold because he has spent irreplaceable time and enjoyed a life fully-lived. He has become a critical thinker. We “sit at his feet” in aware of his comprehension of the universe. That being said, he is a mortal man. He will eventually physically leave this plane: life is ephemeral, and so it must be. What will remain forever will be his words – helping us and guiding us in our day-to-day lives.

- Who then fights for you? The individual: the unique one?

- Who is willing to take the risks and accepts the consequences of a life well-lived, to paraphrase Aristotle? The answer — “you are!”
