Day 31: It is difficult to be nonjudgmental, but necessary when dealing with sincere people. The person I should judge is myself. I must hold my efforts to be of the highest caliber. Always excellence, why not?
Day 32: Life is ascendant. As long as you are alive, you are able to fix your mistakes and fulfill your dreams. Never give up on your piece of life. It is your life and it is exciting.
Day 33: Today was our day of arrival. We proved to ourselves that goals can be achieved through planning and hard work. This is equally true for everyone. Plan your goal and then “work it” through determination and concerted effort.
Day 34: Spend time in life to find your way to be at peace. This is a cerebral state of harmony with God, Gaia, or the Universe. It is like your personal dip into a refreshing pool of water. The immersion will give strength and joy.
Day 35: It is a long and interesting life. Sometimes, it is necessary to just have some fun. We all need to enjoy the traditions, the gaiety, of our families. In a world that is increasingly commercializing, our family and societal heritage always reminds us of our humanity.
Day 36: If we want, we can live in the world of imagination. Many scholars believe that we lose this skill if it’s not practiced. So, next time you go to the park, pretend you are a pirate of old or an adventurer exploring the inner recesses of Mongolia. Have some fun, you won’t be disappointed.
Day 37: Freedom is a term that is frivolously bandied about. But, what does freedom truly mean? It means to liberate yourself in such a way as to achieve personal liberty on your own terms. This can be in employment or in your psychological life. You can choose: everyone deserves to be free!
Day 38: It is important in life, once you commit to a task, to see it through to the very end. If you opt to leave an undertaking half finished, you will, ultimately, feel the loss. The world only remembers those who complete their dreams to the best of their abilities.
Day 39: Life is filled with countless new beginnings. We must simply be adroit enough to catch the moment and capitalize on the opportunity. What is required is a small amount of bravery and the willingness to accept the consequences of our actions: the good and the not so good!
Day 40: This is the end of this Camino journey, but the beginning of yet another adventure. Take time to explore your life and answer three questions: why am I here, what is my mission, and what happens when I leave here — when I die? Pilgrimages like the Camino offer the answers.
It is not the destination that matters, but the journey itself. The Camino will change you — if you let it.
